Sat for an early dinner on Saturday. Loved the experience from start to finish. Started with the caramelized brussel sprouts, which were great. I had the rotisserie chicken which was super yummy, and all the accompaniments (asaparagus, rice, tomatoes) were perfect additions. Husband had the steak salad which he loved as well. Our server was very kind and attentive. Would definitely return soon.
My first time at this restaurant and was taken out for my birthday. Amazing place and some of the best food I’ve had. We ordered the flatbread roasted tomatoes for an appetizer then scallops and shrimp and grits. AMAZING. Great service and friendly staff.
Awesome place! Great atmosphere, fresh dishes and a very kind and knowledgeable young staff. The butternut squash soup was amazing. We also had the Grilled Maui Tuna crunch salad and wood-grilled shrimp & grits that were absolutely mouth watering🤤🤤. For desert we shared the Pumpkin pie and Belgian dark chocolate smore's mini which we also highly recommend. Just a great comfortable atmosphere for family, friends, coworkers and hard core shoppers. 👍🏼👍🏼
My MIL loves Seasons 52, and now that I've dined there, I don't get it. Our party of 4 came by on a Friday night at around 5 for her birthday celebration. To start, we had:
-Roasted mushroom flatbread - this was good. You can't really go wrong with flatbread at these types of places though. It's basically just like a pizza
-Slow roasted meatballs - this was either overcooked, or they didn't have fatty meat in it because it was pretty dry
-Lump crab cake - $15 for one is a robbery because it tasted like it was mostly breadcrumbs
For my main, I had the wood-grilled shrimp and grits. This wasn't bad but I don't think it was worth it for $24. We also shared a side of the truffled risotto which was again, only okay. Just the way it looked, it didn't look very appetizing. It looked almost like a cold oatmeal.
I was trying to see if we could order some kind of dessert and have a candle be presented with it for my MIL's birthday. But our waitress was nowhere to be found, so I went to the back area, where a bunch of servers were just slacking off. I asked if they could relay the message to my server, and they assured me they would and that they could bring a birthday dessert out. And of course they never did. So that was a little annoying. We ended up getting those little pudding cup desserts, all of which were too sweet.
Seasons 52 seems like a higher end chain. And by higher end, I mean they charge more for food but it's still mediocre. I wouldn't come back here on my own and I think if my MIL wants to come here again, I'll have to try and help steer her in another direction.
Located at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, this establishment is a chain restaurant that is part of the Darden Group (Olive Garden, Longhorn, Capital Grille, and others). My partner and I were first-timers tonight for dinner at Seasons 52. When walking in, the entrance is inviting, and you can tell right away that it's very clean. The host staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. With no reservation, we were seated promptly in the main dining room by the kitchen instead of one of the quieter rooms. Tables were spread out comfortably, and the noise level was lower than in many restaurants, so we could actually have a conversation across the table. From their autumn menu, we decided to start off with the grilled artichokes with the preserved lemon hummus, accompanied by some flatbreads. For the main meal, we opted for the cedar-plank roasted salmon, mushroom bisque soup, and golden beet salad. The salmon fillet was done perfectly with well-seasoned potatoes and string beans. However, the mushroom bisque arrived tepid and had no flavor to speak of. While the service was good by our server, Leydi, the food was a miss, and we were honestly quite disappointed. This restaurant is too expensive to not have at least almost exceptional food, and the portion sizes are very small. Unfortunately, we’ll not be back to this concept anytime soon.
I tried not to expect too much but surprisingly, I actually enjoyed the food here. The flat breads were very good and everybody liked it. The mushroom
bisque was nicely done as well and had generous portions for a cup. The appetizer that didnt really pass was the crab cake. It was not so much the taste but rather, it felt underwhelming. It probably was also because we expected two or three pieces of it to share but it just came in one piece and was served in such a big plate it looked lacking and sad. If we had been made aware it was only a piece and/or if it was served in an appropriate sized plate wherein it didnt look so small in one dish perhaps it
wouldve made some difference.
But staff was good though and attended to us well. I enjoyed the Pork Chops as it had very nice flavor and had tender meat. Filet mignone was also good (even the mashed potatoes were yummy lol) and the rest enjoyed their orders. Ambiance was a bit darker than what I wouldve preferred and since there wasnt a lot of people, it just seemed quiet and less lively. Not really a big deal but just thought id mention lol glad we gave it a try.
One of the best restaurants in the tri-state in my opinion. Easily some of the best food I’ve ever had and no pretentious attitude you sometimes find comes with a place this elevated. I only wish I lived closer but this place is easily worth the hour drive from home for me.
Get a table close to the kitchen if you can to see some masters at work.
Food was great, atmosphere was also fantastic even during a quick lunch very cozy and relaxing. The manager looked to be just walking around but not really doing much with customers or staff, something like bread should also be offered …
